Services and Programs
Beginnings offers family-centered services for children birth to age five who have special needs. Services are provided in the home and in early childhood and child care settings through weekly visits or special programs, as well as in classrooms in our own settings.
Evaluations
Beginnings is an approved evaluator of children under age five. Evaluation team members work very closely with families, county Early Intervention Service Coordinators (for children birth to age 2) and school districts (for children age 3-5) to provide quality multidisciplinary evaluations. Members of the evaluation team participate with the family and others in developing individualized annual goals and objectives. For children under three, these are part of the Individualized Family Services Plan (IFSP) and for children 3-5, a part of the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
Areas Served
Beginnings currently serves children in Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Otsego, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren and Washington counties.
